Invented in Cincinnati at some point in the past, it has now spread to Columbus and surely to points far beyond, perhaps as far north as Powell, Ohio and as far west as Shelbyville, In.. Cornhole is to family gatherings what Jon and Kate are to bored teens.

Definitely hit Shelbyville. My husband makes cornhole sets and greases them up with paraffin. They're impossible. He's trying to get me to sew the bags and sell them at the end of our driveway. No thanks.
I know of a fellow who lives in Chicago who makes custom cornhole sets. He happens to be a Buckeye fan too FWIW.
That's very hardcore Betty.
My father-in-law made a OSU Buckeye cornhole set...
What in heavens name are you talking about?
Very sad Roz that cornhole hasn't made it to the state up north, aka MI. Sounds like I wasn't too far off with my Powell, Oh estimate. :-)
Corn-toss has definitely made it to Missouri, Virginia, and most of the rest of the country.
Of course, it is usually called "corn-toss" or "bag-toss" or something like that due to the unfortunate double meaning of the original name.
