Oktoberfest in the South

Hey, who knew you didn't have to go to Oktoberfest in Munich to experience Oktoberfest? Well, it may not be the same thing but it looks cool nonetheless.

Oops! Typo in that last comment! What I meant to type was what a surprise to read about Helen GA! We were there last October to camp nearby at Tullalah Gorge. The same area was in the WSJ this past week for the local tourist trap "Goats on the Roof" which is getting sued by the Wisconsin Goats on the Roof restaurant for using the same concept.

Now tell me if that desk photo on the sidebar is your desk. It looks similar to my sister Betty's desk, which would mean she has my copy of Lord Peter. But if it is yours, I'm glad to see you have such good taste in books.

Ha, yes it would seem your sister has your copy of Lord Peter, as I'm an inveterate stealer of other people's fine photos and I liked that one of Betty's desk!

Damn it, TS! As an inveterate stealer of other people's books--you busted me.

Hey, don't forget the company cafeteria! It had pork sausage and sauerkraut today, along with those cruel, cruel signs that say, "Oktoberfest" over the soft drink dispensers.

That is eerie Tom - that's exactly what the cafeteria had yesterday. For a minute there I thought somebody at work was following my blog!

Our menu item was called "Beer Braised Sausage w/Sauerkraut". They had me at beer.
