Spring Thaw
Winter releases the pinchers
for a few shrugging moments
a hiccup in the siege of bitter.
The seasons arrive in fits and starts
in random irregularities only
finding their true home in season--
the winter fully winter,
the summer fully summer,
only after fooling by feints.
