Poem from a NunThe Divine Poet
As she read,
she was simply ecstatic
"Shakespeare", she said
"it's a sonnet."
Words he had penned so long ago
And to this day
They overflow.
So rich this man's words -
They intoxicate,
Like rich liqueur defies the taste
Filled with the echo
of God's Grace.
But now,
not of Shakespeare
do I wish to speak -
I think of the
One Word
that speaks of Peace.
This Word,
as you may have already guessed
Was uttered but once,
One word, not a line -
Uttered by God, the Poet Divine
This Word is His Son
and this Word is now mine.
