Seasonology
Ohio is chilly about five months out of the year: November through March. This means the midway point of winter is mid-January, which means that March 4th is the equivalent of about November 26 temperature wise. But not light wise. The days are much longer now despite the similar temps.
I wondered if there is an encoded message. God, like the light, comes well before the temperature responds. He could instantly heal all those blind, deaf and dumb just as he could instantly heal all those who are spiritually blind, deaf and dumb (as he did in the unusual case of St. Paul). But He seems more favorably inclined towards the gradualism typlified by seasonal change than dramatic quick fixes.
