Theocon! imagines a grim world in which babies are safer in the womb, stem cell research doesn't involve the destruction of embryos, the death penalty is abolished, torture is verboten and marriage is between a man and a woman.
One of the sources for the book, a Richard Newhauser of New York, was surprised.
