Of Dogs and Men
"German Shepherds love having jobs"
so my wife says
and so I can attest
especially breaking up fights
between the cats.
(Some jobs he relishes
more than others.)

Sometimes at Adoration
I'm the only one there besides Him
And I love when that happens
because then I have the job
of guarding the Eucharist.
(Maybe I have a little
German Shepherd in me.)
