Books I'm Attempting to Stiff-arm

I'm ridiculously sensitive to advertising and word-of-mouth when it comes to books. Merely knowing that helps, since I can try to wait out the impulse. This was especially helpful in Philip Jenkins' "Lost History of Christianity" which I would've bought had I not been more patient. And it would've been a waste of money.

Some of the books callin' my name (say like Clarence Carter) presently are:
"Roads to Quoz" - William Least Heat-Moon
"Farewell Summer" - Ray Bradbury
"The Questioner's Prayer" - Robert J. Baker
"The Yankee Years" - Joe Torre
"Family Planning: a Novel" - Karan Mahajan
"The Faithful: A History of Catholics in America" - James M. O'Toole
"The Women" - T.C. Boyle
"End of the Present World and the Mysteries of the Future Life" - Fr. Charles Arminjon
And just noticed that "American Babylon" by the late Richard J. Neuhaus is out now.
