Germany is in the throes of an energy crisis with the Volk out cutting their own firewood due to a nationwide shortage, which in turn is due to a shortage of oil/gas. Trump warned them four years ago in a U.N. speech saying that they were too reliant on Russian oil. The German diplomats then were caught on camera laughing/smirking. Trump has his revenge now. Really I think Trump’s super power is his common sense. It's exceedingly rare and he's certainly used it to his advantage.
The funny thing is how post-political I feel now. It's kind of exhilarating no longer being on team "R" (the "gelded wonders"). I’m not interested in policy or conservatism but am far more interested in bipartisan issues like election security, electing patriotic Americans, seeking less government corruption. These issues aren’t controversial at all - or shouldn't be in a sane country - unlike, say, a minimum wage or abortion or tax policy.
I don’t much care who is in office, Republican or Democrat, as long as they are for American people rather than for the FBI, Ukraine, their own power, or the world in the abstract. Bernie Sanders might be a socialist but he always struck me in his heart as reasonably patriotic as shown by his initial discomfort with an open southern border. He’s had to run away from that mindset lately for political survival. Would he have been a better president than Biden? Seems undeniable now.
