I miss the era of grandkids under 7. “Five little monkeys” song time. The uninhibited drunken 2s and 3s and 4s and 5s. A golden age and it almost feels like a death has occurred since they are so much different at their current age than when they were littles. We lost our little kids, just as we lose our dogs and cats.
They were present but also not present, in the sense of not having a memory of it like we do. Maybe a sliver of a few moments but they won’t remember much from those days. And yet we grandparents were present and in those moments we were communing with them. It’s almost eucharistic: God communes with us under a form that we can’t easily recognize as Him (bread and wine). We don’t “remember” our Communions in the same sense He does, or living them the way He does. He is present but we can forget, neglect, or simply have the human limitation of mostly living in the unreality of our thoughts and distractions.
Watched a mother bird in our treeline relentlessly and tirelessly bring her newly hatched birds (about a half-dozen from the sound) one small worm or insect at a time, all day long. I admire her work ethic. Made me feel lazy. Then I thought about that as an image of God, feeding us the Eucharist day after day.

This explains why I’m so fascinated by our politics: "When lies have been accepted for some time, the truth always astounds with an air of novelty." --St. Clement of Alexandria

Part of the problem for J6rs is they knew too much. Like the man who knew too much but in this case the thousands who did.
Julie Kelly said:
"No one ever again say the 2020 election wasn’t rigged. Aside from the voting fraud, the coverup of the laptop by everyone from Barr/Wray to the news media and Big Tech was a wide ranging conspiracy to get Biden elected."
Author Jack Cashill responded:
“I break the rigging down in my new book: "Ashli: The Untold Story of the Women of January 6." The J6ers paid more attention than the rest of us. That's why they went to D.C.”

Journalist, author, feminist Naomi Wolf has always been a lefty until the covid vaccine, at which point she joined forces with Steve Bannon and all the other deplorables. A Jew, she’s discovering God again. She says she had a vision of Jesus about ten years ago but has not converted. She read Jonathon Cahn’s book on “The Return of the gods” and began reading the Torah again. She’d devoted a podcast to reading an old translation from the 1500s called the Geneva Bible. But recently she came across a fellow Jew, a scholar who helped translate the Dead Sea scrolls, who stumbled across a Hebrew version of the gospel of Matthew. It’s from the 1400s but despite coming from the Jewish community - at that time no friend of Christians whatsoever - it is very close to the Greek. This leads some to wonder, including Wolf, if it dates back to the time of Christ. So now she’s reading this gospel (translated to English by a fellow named George Howard back in the 1960s). It’s interesting to catch the little nuances of variances. The synoptic gospels are so familiar to me now that even the little changes or alterations pop out. Wolf, who knows Hebrew, says the English translation of the Hebrew reads less alien to her as a Jew than the English translations of the Greek. In other words, it makes Jesus more Jewish.
