Interesting how cause of death is becoming seen as so private and unshareable. Have seen many people who died unexpectedly at relatively young ages and there are long personal obits but nothing about cause of death. This seems to be a relatively new thing. In the most recent case, a pro-life guy working for the US bishops died suddenly and no cause of death. It feels unnatural, foreign to the human condition since we've evolved to be curious about dangers to physical health and what could befall us or our family.
Listing “cause of death” has become the new unmentionable and so instead of praying for the soul of the person I become distracted by wondering what cause of death is. That’s on me, but still...
